Well, hello there officer!
A pair of hero cops in Texas are red hot — for their looks, as much as for their recent life-saving rescue of a man from a burning truck.
Officers Chandler Carrera and Eddie Pineda were lauded for their response to the scary scene in Austin Monday, where a pickup truck was ablaze with the driver stuck inside.
The officers got to the scene before firefighters and wasted no time. With flames shooting from beneath the bottom of the truck and smoke pouring forth, Pineda shattered a window to open the truck door and he and Carrera were able to drag the driver to safety.
The incident was caught on the officers’ bodycam footage, earning them platitudes and an appearance on CNN.
But to some on social media the officers were winners for their looks as much as for their actions.
“Which was hotter, these cops or the fire?” one person commented on a picture of the two cops posted to the Austin-American Statesman’s Instagram page.
“Please sent Officers Carrera and Pineda my way, because I’m about to break the law,” another quipped.
“REFUND THE POLICE!” one Instagram user proclaimed, while another joked she was about to light her own vehicle on fire.
And not to be undone, Instagram user odomgirls_ got right to the point.
“Oh my god those officers are hoooottttttt holy crap.”
