Plane crash Santee, California: Officials respond to reports of aircraft accident near Santana High School

OFFICIALS are responding to reports of a plane crash near a high school.

The San Diego Sheriffs Department reportedly rushed to the scene of a small plane that either crashed or landed just east of Santana High School.

Reports have been made of black smoke in the area, and images that claimed to be of the scene showed large flames.

Firefighters were on the scene hosing down buildings where the plane reportedly crashed.

It is unclear how many people were inside of the aircraft when it crashed or if anyone is hurt.

A local scanner claimed that the plane crashed into a UPS near the high school's football field. This has not yet been confirmed by officials.

The scanner added that there were multiple burn victims and that two homes and one outbuilding were involved in the incident.
