Queen’s strict requirements for her bath which must be set depth and temperature
Being subject to worldwide attention means that the Monarchy is very careful about how it presents itself.
It follows rules and regulations, it is prim and proper, and it adheres to traditions that date back decades.
But it might be slightly surprising to learn that the traditions of the monarchy even go down to the finest detail of the Queen’s bath.
Queen Elizabeth II has a morning bath time routine that she does not stray from, according to previous Daily Mail reports.
According to royal corespondent Brian Hoey, Elizabeth has a strict ritual every morning and has her bath the exact same way.
And her maid must follow the rules every morning to ensure the Queen's day starts right.
According to reports, the Queen wakes up at 7.30am every day and her maid turns on BBC Radio 4’s Today Programme.
Then, whilst the Queen slurps her morning cuppa, her maid starts preparing her 8am daily bath.
This is where things get oddly specific.
The Queen’s bath has to be exactly the right temperature and exactly the right depth.
According to the royal expert, the tub must be no more or less than seven inches deep.
Hoey said: “Her maid will go into the adjoining bathroom to draw the bath, which has to be exactly the right temperature: tested with a wooden-cased thermometer, and no more than seven inches of water.”

And whilst she bathes her maid will lay out the day’s outfit under the supervision of Angela Kelly, her personal assistant.
It seems the Queen’s habits have also rubbed off on her son too.
Prince Charles also has strict bath rules that his staffers must follow or he will “scold” them, according to reports.
The Prince has his pyjamas pressed for creases every morning and has one inch of toothpaste squeezed onto his toothbrush too.
He has his underwear folded in a certain way and his towel placed in a particular fashion.
When it comes to bathing, the bath plug must be in a particular place too, and the water run tepid.
The tub can only be half full, according to reports.
A pampered prince indeed.
