Teacher ‘erotically massaged’ student, 12, and told her she wanted to marry her

A teacher in the United States who erotically massaged a 12-year-old student kissed her and told her she wanted to be her wife has avoided jail.

Former Oakbrook Middle School art teacher Allison Chilton, 27, has been sentenced to five years on probation for her twisted relationship with the child.

She had pleaded guilty to charges following the case that dates back to 2017 when the victim’s father found out about Chilton’s predatory attempts to entice his daughter into a sexual relationship.

Chilton, who worked in Summerville, South California, groomed the young student and sent her messages including: "I want to be your wife."

In another text, she said: "I want to hold you."

According to The Charleston Post and Courier, Chilton also open-mouth kissed and gave "sensual massages" to the 12-year-old on a number of occasions in addition to the suggestive texts.

The victim’s father told detectives he believed the grooming started when Chilton taught his daughter when she was in the seventh grade.

He had become suspicious when he learned his daughter had been having meetings with the teacher in the classroom when it was empty during recess, Knewz reported.

According to reports, Chilton taught arts and maths before being suspended for her predatory behaviour.

Chilton formally resigned from the school district after she was taken into custody in 2018, WCIV reported.

The middle school teacher was sentenced to 10 years of probation for the inappropriate student relationship, but five years were suspended.

She had admitted charges of criminal solicitation of a minor and third-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor.

In addition, a permanent restraining order was granted for Chilton’s minor victim.

The former teacher has also been placed on the sex offender registry with active GPS monitoring.
