William and Kate ‘coming out swinging’ to put Megxit in the past, says columnist
Prince William and Kate Middleton are doing everything in their power to put the turbulent exit of Harry and Meghan behind them, a royal columnist has claimed.
Daniela Elser, a royal expert and commentator, believes that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are 'coming out swinging' to push forward the monarchy and make the negative energy surrounding The Firm a thing of the past.
"2021 started off abysmally for the house of Windsor with Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex launching an unprecedented fusillade against the Firm during their Oprah interview," Elser wrote for news.com.au.
She continued: "Intense global scrutiny abruptly turned on the palace, which suddenly stood accused of institutional racism, a callous disregard for mental health and a malignant indifference to suffering."
But the commentator claimed that The Cambridge's are 'coming out swinging'.
The columnist pulled attention to the couple's trip to Ulster University in Northern Ireland, praising their work ethic in royal duties to get the royal family's reputation back on track.

"The Cambridges arrived in Northern Ireland just over around 15 hours after walking the red carpet at the premiere of the latest instalment in the Bond franchise," Elser said.
She added: "If anyone was labouring under any sort of assumption that Kate might ease back into the work after taking an unusually long and unexplained 66-day break from her royal duties over the northern summer, this week has put paid to that."
At the premiere, Kate Middleton was snapped in a lovable embrace with her father-in-law while attending the No Time To Die premiere.
